Hurricane Ida was a vicious storm that spread her wrath from the Gulf Coast to New England. New Jersey certainly was not spared from the storm and on Tuesday, President Joe Biden visited the State to survey the damage.
Not everyone in New Jersey was happy to see the president in their neighborhoods. Biden was visiting one neighborhood in Manville, talking with a police officer when individuals in the crowd started shouting at the president about his handling of the U.S. military withdrawal from Afghanistan.
"My country is going to s---and you're allowing it! one woman yelled. "And I'm an immigrant and I'm proud of this country! I'd give my life for this country. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves."
"All this for a f---photo-op?" sneered one man. "You ain't gonna do s---!"
"My best friend died in 2011 in Afghanistan for what?" an angry man asked. "For this guy to pull this s---? You leave them in ruins and leave Americans behind!"
"He will leave you behind--you guys protecting him," he said to the police officers with Biden.
"Leave no American behind!" the first woman screamed.
Biden ignored the crowd, much like he has ignored anyone asking about the botched mission in Afghanistan, which he maintains was a "complete success."
