Harrowing Rescue From Submerged Car During Hurricane Captured On Video

While the state of Florida is reeling from devastation, there's at least one woman who owes her life to a brave firefighter who rescued her from her submerged vehicle.

As Hurricane Ian ravaged Naples Wednesday, one woman decided it would be ok to drive, but she got swept up in the current. Remarkable footage shows a firefighter wading through chest-deep water and smashing the rear passenger window -- as the water continued rising over the hood of the woman's car.

The woman was unable to open her car door, so firefighters busted through her rear passenger window and dragged her to safety.

Collier County officials had announced half the streets in Naples were impassable due to high water ... it’s unclear whether the woman hadn't gotten the warning, or she just thought she was ok to drive.
