According to authorities and local media, three siblings perished on the same day last week while kayaking on a lake in Georgia.
The three siblings drowned on Thursday in the Amity Recreation Area on Clarks Hill Lake, according to Lincoln County Sheriff Paul Reviere.
Raven Powell, 22, of McDuffie County, and her two younger brothers, Mason Powell, 4, and Sawyer Powell, 3, were named as the victims by coroner Tim Quarles.
According to news sources, the remains have been located and are being transported to the state crime lab for an autopsy. The three siblings passed away on Thursday night.
No other information regarding what occurred has been made public. The Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Georgia Bureau of Investigation, and the sheriff's office are still looking into the event.
"We have not ruled out anything at this point as the autopsy will hopefully provide us with more information as well as the interviews and other investigative leads we are following," said Pat Morgan of the GBI.
Northeastern Georgia, close to the South Carolina border, is where Clark Hills Lake is situated.
Friends Eynn Wilson and Edward Kirk perished in the same location while boating with friends and family a little over a year ago. Shontover Kirkland, 32, admitted guilt last week after being charged with reckless behavior and involuntary manslaughter.
