When a traveler did not get her way, she was caught on camera having a temper tantrum at an airport in Mexico City and even assaulting an Emirates check-in agent.
On Nov. 1, a video of a traveler leaping over the check-in desk and assaulting an Emirates employee who was attempting to process the passenger for her flight surfaced online.
The woman attempted to board her flight using an expired passport and arrived late to check in at the Mexico City International Airport. As a result, the Emirates agent turned her away.
When the employee made her angry, the woman climbed over the counter.
She started by hitting the employee before throwing various objects, such as computer equipment, suitcase contents, and more.
The woman stood on top of the actual check-in counter and shouted to other passengers as she continued her temper tantrum.
She can be seen screaming and heard screaming in the video. An employee of Emirates can also be seen and heard shouting for security assistance. The woman arrived too late, according to a statement from Emirates, to check in for her flight. She also attempted to travel using a passport that was no longer valid.
"We can confirm that on November 1, an incident occurred at the check-in counter at Mexico City International Airport, in which a passenger who arrived late at the check-in counter was also discovered to be traveling with an expired passport," Emirates stated.
The woman was stopped by airport security officers after descending from the counter while police officers were en route to the airport.
