Reading and sharing
You may read, link to, quote and cite anything here. Quotation with attribution and a link is welcome and needs no permission. Wholesale republication of pages is not - see the copyright section below for why we are not in a position to grant it.
Copyright - and what we do not claim
The archived reporting was written and published by the domain’s previous operator, and drew on the work of other outlets. We do not claim to own it, and we cannot license it to you. It is reproduced here as a record of what was published. If you hold rights in any archived material and want it removed, write to us - see contact - and we will act on a good-faith request rather than argue about it.
Photographs from the original pages are deliberately not reproduced anywhere on this site, because they were not the original operator’s to license.
The site’s own design, code, section structure and editorial standards are our work.
Accuracy, and the limits of it
Archived pieces are republished unedited. They are not fact-checked by us, they do not meet our standards, and they may be wrong, out of date, or superseded by events. Their value is as a record of what was published at the time, not as a current account of anything. Every archive page says so and carries the date it was captured.
Nothing here is legal, financial, medical or professional advice. If an archived piece and reality disagree, reality wins.
Errors and right of reply
If something here is wrong or unfair, tell us and we will act. Corrections sets out the policy and carries the complete public log; correction requests are answered before any other correspondence.

Links to other sites are references, not endorsements, and we have no control over what is on the other end. Links inside archived pieces are from 2021–22 and many will be dead or now point somewhere unrelated.

If these terms change materially the review date above changes with them. As with privacy, anything that alters what the site does is described here before it ships, not after.
