Texas Man Dies After Shooting Woman In Neck

A Texas man shot a woman in the neck Saturday and was killed when the bullet also hit him.

Dallas police responded to a call about a shooting at an apartment building where they said they found “a large amount of blood and a blood trail in front of an apartment.”

Officers found no one in the apartment when they arrived at around 11:40 a.m. according to the Dallas Police Department.

A call came in shortly after from a nearby hospital about a man and a woman found in a car outside with gunshot wounds.

Investigators believe Byron Redmon, 26, shot the woman in the neck, and the “bullet then exited and hit Redmon in the leg.”

Redmon died at the hospital. The woman, who has not been identified, was treated and released.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
