WATCH! Man Assaults Police With Excavator Bucket

Police in Vermont recently found themselves in an unexpected and dangerous situation.

In a video shared by the Vermont State Police, two officers were attempting to arrest a man for assault and burglary when the suspect’s father swung an excavator bucket at them.

Police face a number of dangerous circumstances on a daily basis but this may be the first time officers have attempted to take a suspect into custody and his father swung a tractor bucket at them.

Had that bucket connected with either officer, it could have caused a very serious injury.

Fortunately, these officers were very aware of the danger they were facing.
